Data Use Terms
Your load data and permission.
Version 2026-09-26-v1. These terms apply when you choose to submit a load-data comparison.
What you share
You share the original CSV, the selected measurement column and units, interval length, your contact details, and any project context. Submit only data you are authorized to share. Remove personal details, customer information, account numbers and other confidential identifiers before uploading.
Your permission
I am authorized to share this data. I grant CutPeak Energy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and analyze the submitted load data, remove identifying details, combine the resulting measurements with its research dataset, and use those measurements to develop, train and validate energy algorithms. I retain ownership of the original data. CutPeak may retain trained models and aggregate findings as described in the Data Use Terms.
How the dataset works
CutPeak stores the original upload privately for review and follow-up. The research dataset stores only a sample index and the selected electricity measurements converted to kW. It excludes source column labels, calendar timestamps and contact details. CutPeak keeps the contribution record and consent separately.
This removes direct identifiers from the dataset. A distinctive load pattern can still be recognizable, so CutPeak treats the dataset as restricted information and does not promise that re-identification is impossible.
Research and algorithms
The permission covers internal energy analysis, benchmarking, and developing, training and validating CutPeak’s energy algorithms, including commercial use of those algorithms. It does not grant permission to publish your original file or sell your identified site data. Submission does not automatically send your data to an external AI provider.
Access and retention
Only authorized CutPeak access can retrieve submissions or download files. Contact details support project follow-up and are not part of the measurement dataset. CutPeak retains submissions while needed for those purposes or until it acts on a removal request.
Questions or removal requests
Email b.david@cutpeakenergy.com with your submission reference to request a copy or removal from future dataset use. Removal can stop future use of retained source records, but cannot necessarily remove the influence of data from completed training, previously derived models or aggregate findings. CutPeak may retain a limited consent record.
