The company
Built for the mountain’s operating reality.
CutPeak Energy helps ski areas understand, protect, and monetize existing energy infrastructure. The first job is to serve snowmaking and critical operations. The second is to evaluate how the same electrical connection can support savings, resilience, and grid value through the rest of the year.
Projects can be ski-area owned, financed by a third party, or structured in between. CutPeak’s role is to coordinate the right technical, commercial, and capital partners and remain engaged through operation.
Founder
Brett David Miller
Brett is CutPeak’s founder, an avid skier, and a former downhill race coach. Berkshire East was his home hill growing up. His work began in unarmed protection of critical infrastructure in East Timor and Myanmar, where he built and led large service organizations employing over 4,000 people.
He later worked in distributed-energy project modeling and led commercial battery and microgrid business development at Generac Industrial Power. He founded CutPeak after seeing that independent ski areas were being overlooked by conventional energy developers despite substantial grid infrastructure and urgent operating needs.
